Combined Arms - Modern Weapon Pack is a free mod for Fallout 4 that gives you 14 new guns to play with. Each gun comes with customizable attachments and ammo types, and customizable parts.

For alternatives, Weapon Overhauls (AIO) offers a wide range of customizable options, new weapons, and modifications, and Modern Weapon Replacers - All-In-One Pack combines a wide range of vanilla weapon replacement mods into a single mod. Other options include Weaponsmith Extended and We Are The Minutemen.

New toys

Combined Arms - Modern Weapon Pack brings 14 new weapons to the table, all of which are modern rifles and handguns. The Barret M82A1 and the SV-98 are the sniper rifle additions. The PL-15 ‘Lebedev,’ the Beretta M9, M1911, Desert Eagle, and the TT-33 Tokarev make up the handgun additions. 

The assault weapons feature the SIG SG550, G36, Steyr AUG, AS VAL, and the AKM. There is also the M249, a squad automatic rifle, and the SPAS-12, a dual-mode shotgun. This weapon selection is excellent, and by using the customization features you can get variations of each gun.

Customizable

There are many optical attachments, silencers, foregrips, and ammo types. There are a couple of types of iron sights and scopes that vary depending on which guns you’re customizing. You can choose anything from holographic sights, reflex sights, iron sights, scopes, and beyond. You can even change the magazine type. 

You can select 5.56x45mm, 7.62x39mm, 10mm, among many other types to suit the mission ahead. There are eight different ammo types that do different kinds of damage to your enemies. You can even customize your gun’s muzzle, grip, stock, set a bipod, and more. There are numerous ways the mod lets you modify your weapon. 

Animations & sound effects

The animations are great. The muzzle flashes, reloading, and recoil are similar to those of the original weapons in the game. Sound effects like the cocking and shooting are good, too. The mod does an excellent job of matching textures and animations while introducing new weapons.

Overall, Combined Arms - Modern Weapon Pack is a great mod. The new weapons are fun to use, and the number of ways you can customize the weapons is impressive. The animations and gun textures fit perfectly with those of vanilla Fallout 4.
